Sigmund VETSBURG^4,12,21 was born in 1840 in Bavaria, Germany.¹² In 1870 he was a clerk in Jefferson City, Cole, Missouri.⁴ In 1880 he was a merchant in Jefferson City, Cole, Missouri.¹² In 1890 he was a bookkeeper for Meyer Brothers Drug Co. in St. Louis, Missouri.²² He died on 23 Jun 1896 in St. Louis, Missouri.²¹ He is not listed with the family in the 1900 Census.
He and Carrie were married in the 1870 census, and Carrie said that she was married for 26 years. He was buried on 24 Jun 1896 in Mount Sinai Cemetery, St. Louis, Missour.²¹ In 1870, Sigmund and Carrie were living with the Obermayer family.
