6. Jennie Zelda Kaplan^4,12,13 was born in 1856.¹³ She died on 30 Apr 1932.^12,13 According to her obituary, Jennie Gallant was the founder and
president of the Moses Montefiore Hebrew Free School.

Jennie Zelda Kaplan and Abraham (Abe) I. Gallant were married estimated 1877. Abraham (Abe) I. Gallant^2,13,14 (son of Azur Gallant) was born on 9 Mar 1857.¹³ He immigrated in 1885 to St. Louis, Missouri.¹⁵ He died on 7 Mar 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri.¹³ According to his death certificate, he died of "hemorrage of brain due to fracture of skull. Struck on head with timber. Homicide." He was buried in St. Louis, Missouri. Per Jamie Schultz Freitas, he came from Riga and had a brother that remained in Riga. Jennie Zelda Kaplan and Abraham (Abe) I. Gallant had the following children:
